What goes on the trays

Catering menu: the same Laval repertoire, scaled for a room

There is no laminated banquet card. A Pierina catering menu is built from the homemade mains, bowls, soups, salads and sides we already cook — sized for your headcount, written in CAD, in English or French.

Good food brings people together

Searchers want a “catering menu Montreal” PDF with twelve proteins and a dessert tower. We will not invent one. The live weekly list changes Friday. The year-round catalogue stays without a Wednesday cutoff. Catering borrows from both, then changes the pack: trays instead of single boxes, labels for a buffet line, vegetarian counts called out.

Start from what people actually eat at a Pierina table: a main that reheats cleanly, a bowl that holds at room temp for a short meeting, a soup that travels, a salad that does not collapse in twenty minutes, a side that stretches a tray. Desserts and appetizers exist as catering options when the date can carry them — they are not a secret second restaurant.

Custom catering menus are a separate page if you need a tighter brief (allergies, no pork, more vegetarian, a holiday main). This page tells buyers what categories we work in so a first email is not a blank stare.

Prices are not printed here. The catering pricing page explains the levers. The quote lists CAD for the count you send. Montreal, Laval and the 50 km towns eat from the same list; only the drop changes.

Building blocks we actually cook

  • Mains and sharing trays — the guest-count version of homemade plates
  • Bowls and labelled individual portions for desks and standing receptions
  • Soups that travel from Leman without turning into a science project
  • Salads and vegetable sides that still look like food after a 3:00–7:00 pm window
  • Appetizers and desserts when the occasion page and the date can hold them

How to brief a menu without a novel

  • Date + postal code + headcount (even a range)
  • Trays, boxes, or a mix — and how many vegetarian
  • Allergens to avoid, plus the ones that are only preferences
  • Whether someone can pick up in Laval or you need a drop in Montreal / Longueuil / Brossard / Terrebonne / West Island

Skip us if

  • A request for sushi towers, live stations or a wedding cake we do not bake
  • A “surprise us” email with no count and no date

Office lunch catering Montreal and corporate catering Laval often want the labelled-bowl version of this menu. Family gatherings and birthday tables often want trays. Réveillon and Christmas pull holiday mains — use those occasion URLs so December capacity is held on the right week.

See the weekly menu for this Friday’s list. See the year-round menu for dishes that do not wait on Wednesday 11:59 pm. Catering is the third door: same stove, different paperwork.

Send the brief. We answer with dishes that exist, not a fantasy card.

Questions

Local FAQ

Can I see this week’s dishes before I book catering?

Yes. Open the weekly menu. Catering may use those dishes or year-round ones, scaled to your count. We will say what still fits the date.

Do you have vegetarian catering options?

Often. Give the vegetarian headcount. We cook in Pierina's MAPAQ kitchen, so we will be clear about allergens.

Is the salad builder part of catering?

The salad builder is a shop tool for individual bowls on the weekly clock. Catering salads are quoted as trays or a set count — ask on the form.

French or English menu cards?

Either. Say which language the table reads.
