Private event catering in Montreal: food for a room you already have

Showers, at-home dinners, small receptions, a living room that suddenly holds sixteen people. We cook in Laval. You keep the keys to the apartment.

Private event catering in Montreal: food for a room you already have

Good food brings people together

Private event catering in Montreal is a different search from “corporate lunch” and a different search from “wedding planner.” You already have the room: a Plateau walk-up, a Laval basement rec room, a West Island backyard that is still inside 50 km. You need homemade trays that can be reheated without a brigade, not a dance-floor package.

Special-occasion catering covers the broader holiday and milestone calendar. This page is narrower: a private guest list, usually under a few dozen, no venue we have to dress. Birthday catering is the cake-and-candles subset. Small-event catering is the 8–30 headcount subset. If those URLs fit tighter, use them — do not send three identical briefs.

We do not supply bartenders, rentals, florals or a day-of coordinator. The quote is food, pack, pickup or a confirmed drop, in CAD. Write the date before you write the vibe. December Réveillon and Christmas Eve fill first; those have their own pages so we do not hide a December date inside a generic “private” email.

Postal code still rules. Downtown freight elevators and South Shore townhouse lanes need a human at the door in the window we confirm. Pickup at 3954 Bd Leman remains the calm option when cousins are already driving the 25.

What to put in the first email

  • Private event + date + city (Montreal, Laval, Longueuil, Brossard, Terrebonne, West Island…)
  • Headcount and how many plates must be vegetarian
  • Trays versus labelled boxes — living room coffee table versus condo island
  • Pickup on Leman or delivery, plus a person who can receive

Private formats that fit

  • A shower or at-home engagement table that wants food, not a ballroom
  • A milestone dinner where the host still wants to pour their own wine
  • A small reception after a ceremony someone else already planned

Skip us if

  • A 150-person hall with union wait staff
  • A last-hour Friday ask for Saturday night in Old Montreal

If the private event is actually an office holiday party, use holiday catering or corporate catering. If it is Réveillon, use the Réveillon page so the 24 December batch is not guessed. Same stove. Different calendar risk.

Allergies: we cook on shared lines. Name the constraint. We will suggest a safer tray or decline. That sentence is more useful than a fake “allergy-free facility” badge.

Request a quote. Write “private event” and the postal code in the first line.

Questions

Local FAQ

Do you cater private events in Montreal and Laval?

Yes, inside about 50 km of 3954 Bd Leman. Pickup in Laval is available. We cook; you host.

Is this a wedding caterer?

We can feed a small at-home reception. We do not run a full wedding banquet. Ask; we will say if the format fits.

Can I mix a private event with weekly meal prep?

Yes. Say both in one email so the packs do not get merged by accident.

How far in advance?

As soon as the date is real. Saturdays, late June and December book first.
